Inspiration: Come Alive
"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive. Then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who come alive." - Howard Thurman
Much like the Dutch tulip fields that come alive with grand color in Spring, I too feel like I've come alive these past few months. I was telling N the other night that I haven't felt this *happy* in a very long time. Starting my little MGoO Shop has brought me much joy and the wonderful feeling of contentment. It has allowed me to be creatively driven and challenged on a daily basis, something my life was lacking for far too long. So for now, I'm going to revel in this feeling of coming alive because you just never know when it might end.

Great post! I wanted to tell you how much I loved the card, and especially the typewriter stamp on the envelope. I love those meaningful little touches that you do, the attention to detail. And I wanted you to know that I noticed! Also, I'd kill for your perfect handwriting. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary. It makes me happy to know that you noticed! Not everyone has an eye for the details and some would have just skimmed right past the postage stamp. When someone, like yourself, does notice, it makes going to the effort all the more worth it. My good handwriting is reserved for said thank you notes, you should see how sloppy it is at work - ha!
DeleteSusannah, first congrats on your new shop...simple but lovely designs, the best. second, wouldn't you love to have taken the above photo for this week's SFS assignment? know of any tulip fields in the U.S.? ;-))
ReplyDeletebest of luck with the shop!

Hi Claire,
DeleteThanks for visiting my little corner of the web and I do so appreciate your kind words about my shop :) I wish I knew of some tulip fields in the US that were of the same grand level as these Dutch ones...I'd be there in a heartbeat with my camera in hand! I'm sure you would be too! We'd make a day of it, don't ya think?!
