Limited Time Opening of the SHOP

I'm opening up the shop for a limited time summer sale! I have a few necklaces and bracelets that I'd love to give a good home. My hope is to start making jewelry again in my spare time. Recap: Mini Marketplace

Thanks to those of you who were able to stop by Saturday for the Mini Marketplace sale! We had a lot of fun and it was wonderful to get so many questions about my jewelry and suggestions for future pieces to make.

Although initially nervous about participating in the sale, it turned out to be a great learning experience for me and got me jumpstarted on adding some new things to the shop. Lily and I spent quite a few hours in the studio prepping and creating in anticipation of the event, as N captured so well in the picture above.

And I will admit that I let out a huge sigh of relief after it was over, but the takeaway was definitely worth the stressful bits!

 Hopefully, I'll have the opportunity to participate in something similar in the future. A big thanks to Lindsey Neuhaus for setting it up and including me!

This week's Look features the Aix Necklace, one of my favorites! I love the mint colored leather and the unexpectedness of the square beads paired with the round ones. Wouldn't this necklace look great with that geometric tee? Wishing I had this outfit on to get some work done in my studio today!

Take Notice: Midnight Necklace

Much to my surprise and delight, the Midnight Necklace has been in the spotlight the past couple of days. First, it was featured in The Washingtonian Magazine Shoparound column's "The Best Neon Jewelry on Etsy Right Now". Click into the slideshow and you'll find my necklace is the last image included in the collection - I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it!

Second, it was featured on This Little Street Blog in Audrey's the colors of happiness post. I'm thrilled that she featured my necklace because I was introduced to her lovely corner of the web. Her blog is full of beautiful imagery, handmade finds and simple everyday inspirations. I added This Little Street to my list of daily reads and you should too! Thank you, Audrey!

Of the Moment: Color

Since a majority of my free time is spent working on new necklace designs, color has become a predominant theme in my life as of late. I often feel as if I'm on an endless search to discover new-to-me color combinations. One advantage to this all consuming search, color seems to be the thing right now. Lucky for me, this means my search hasn't been too far or too wide because it's been popping up everywhere!

Here are a few colorful things that have been inspiring some of my latest necklaces:
